The Grassroots Homegrown Clovers will hold their first 4-H Meeting out- doors from  10:30am 12:30pm, September 14th at  Midlothian Meadows Forest Preserve, located at 157th and Pulaski. We will gather at the pavilion near the turnabout.

Children, grades 3 and up,  will explore a variety of 4H outdoor topics and nature activities, and learn how to turn their studies into  4H projects. Please bring a notebook to use for logging your nature discoveries, a collection bag, colored pencils, and a camera to take pictures that can be used for several 4H projects.

Cloverbud aged children (grades K-2) will get acquainted with the great outdoors through hands- on nature experiences, a short hike, and outside games. If time allows, the kids will start building a nature box.  Please bring a shoe box or coffee can with lid, a bag for collecting nature samples, and a small magnifier glass (if available).

Bring a sack lunch to enjoy at the forest preserve after the meeting.  Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for hiking.

The September 28th meeting will take place at 10:30am at our permanent meeting space Olympia Fields Untied Methodist Church. Located at 20301 Western. Topics will include 4H registration, Officer Elections, Country selection for Inter- national Fair  and “getting to know you” activities.
